"The hour is approaching, and, at my time of life, cannot be very distant, when my heart, my pen, and my tongue, will no longer be able to move in their service. But I trust, while my heart continues to beat, it will feel a warm desire for the prosperity of souls; and while my hand can write, and my tongue speak, it will be the business and the pleasure of my life, to aim at promoting their growth and establishment in the grace of our God and Savior" - John NewtonAbout Servant's Diary:

I live in Atlanta, GA and starting in 2007 from the city of Philadelphia I have been on a journey to full-time ministry.
At first I thought I should enter seminary, go off to missionary training or find a job with a church or ministry. Instead, God lead me through a series of conferences, meetings, interviews, blog-rings, books, bible studies, tweets, emails, road trips up and down the East Coast, and a myriad of new friends until He finally opened up a seemingly impossible door to Atlanta.
It's 2011, I've been here a year, and things are just beginning!
I'm still not in what you would call a full-time ministry job, and honestly I still don't know what God has in store for me next. But I do know it's going to be good! Because when we follow after Him we find abundance of His goodness in our lives even in the midst of a storm. So whatever may come, I'm here and I belong to Christ.
This blog is called Servant's Diary because blogging can seem quite self-absorbed at times. Well, the temptation is there, right? I hope this name helps me remember what my life is really all about and that anything I do should be to the glory of God! That's not always easy and I'm sure you'll see me mess that up. But I'm glad you're here to learn from my mistakes! haha. I'll be posting some useful resources and sharing about what's next in my journey so that hopefully we can point each other to God as we seek Him for the next steps in our lives whether they be in relationships, careers, health or finances. We can look at all these things with a Kingdom perspective together.
Subscribe to my blog to keep up with the resources I'll share and personal stories I'll tell. And please chime in with comments! I look forward to our conversations. :)
But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
(Galatians 6:14 ESV)
"Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?" And he said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets."
(Matthew 22:36-40 ESV)
